Every Saturday, members post photos based on a theme. The theme for July 28, 2007 is CREATIVE. Visit the Blog Roll.

This creative piece was made using not new materials but recyclable ones. You know what, when the wind blows, the horse moves around. Cool!

This is my youngest daughter Tania doing pretend play. She is a creative enough to make her own breakfast by combining different toys from different sets: the supermarket cart box and the kitchen utensils.

A creative way to end a storytelling session with my students. Diorama made by each one of them!

We may be creative in our own ways but only God can make flowers as beautiful as this. We are surrounded with many wonderful things creatively made, be it by the hands of men or created by God’s power. We should be thankful for all these things!

Oh, on second thought: Can anybody help me how to be creative with this mess we call our library? :D

ALL great ideas! I love that horse! And my kids used to absolutely LOVE to make dioramas!

  • That horse is so lovely, especially when the wind makes it move. Diorama are wonderful expressions of 3D art. Thanks, :)

Neat creative entries but i love the flower and comment about God’s creativity best of all. I know He is the CREATOR but I just never used the word creativity describing his actions. SUPER! BTW, I love the angle of that photo shot — so that makes you creative also!!!!!!!!!

Come see mine.

  • Yes, only God can create all these things. We are here to protect these creations. Thanks, Paulie, :)

Those are very creative ideas. I like the idea of recycling products for new creation.

  • Recycling is a good alternative way to avoid waste and this is being done creatively. Thanks, Jonzz, :)

Those are all so creative. Love the dioramas! Your daughter has a great imagination,… she will probably be a great cook. And how many people really notice God’s nature. Some people don’t take time to stop and smell the roses. Great photos and thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend.

  • Making a diorama presents a 3D perspective to the children. My 4yo daughter Tania is also a good artist, she can draw pictures with details. I always do stop and smell the roses even if I can’t grow them, I mean especially since I can’t grow them. Thanks, Bobbie, :)

All of those are very creative! :) I really like the sculpture made of recycled materials. :)

  • Dragonheart, that horse moves when the wind blows. And to think it is made up of recyclable materials, it is not obvious from a distance. Thanks, :)

Hi Julie. Those are great forms of creativity. The horse is a great work of art.

It’s nice to see your daughter having a wonderful time. I love watching Yohan at play too.

Those are nice pieces made by your students.

That flower is beautiful. A lovely example of nature’s beauty.

It’s great that you have so many books.

  • Thanks, Rach. Don’t we just love to watch the children play? :)

all lovely photos but your last one caught my attention. :)

I think every member of the house is very creative that they form such ‘mess’ in order to remember things. Leave it be so everyone will be happy. :)

  • I agree with you on the last one. I would not be able to find something I need if I rearrange the stuff. :)

HA I sympathize with you and your library “mess” but I have no ideas because mine is the same mess! You do really neat stuff with your students and I am sure they enjoy doing the activities.

  • They do enjoy these activities. About the mess, I am torn between fixing the stuff or leaving it as such. Thanks, :)

28 Jul, 2007 @ 9:23 pm

Leave the books! They look better this way!

  • OK then :D

I love the recycled materials! What a novel way of re-using them. But I’m with Jams O’Donnell - leave the library as it is - it looks loved!

  • Thanks, A. It takes a lot of creativity to make things look good using recycled materials. Re the library, :D

Excellent post, Julie, and filled with the creativity of children. Of course, you know that I would love your zinnia photo, too. Thank you for visiting Pollywog Creek yesterday and for your very kind comments. I truly do not have plans to publish my photos, for I feel that all I am doing is capturing a glimpse of God’s glory. He is the Creator, right? As for the guavas - sigh! I just can’t get past the smell. Blessings!!!!

  • Thanks, Patricia. So, its a zinnia! I think it looks like a flower in your blog but only yours was captured better, :) I can’t for the life of me remember flower names (except the common ones), and I can’t grow them if it meant for me to survive, :D.

INTERESTING! asking for “creative” solutions for that library! lol…I havent a clue! I loved the dioramas , they reminded me of helping my sons with homework, many many many moons ago! Thanks for visiting my photo today!

  • Dioramas were the 3D projects of children years ago. Seems so long ago when I made my own TV carton box. Thanks, Becci :)
