Have you ever felt that you are about to enter a tunnel, a blind spot in your life that you do not know what you will be expecting to happen at the end? We all do, at certain points in our lives. We are stumped. Decisions are left hanging in the air. We feel we are looking at uncertainty staring back at us. We feel fear or anticipation. We feel desperation or excitement. What do we do then?

Hi julie, I feel scared every time I get into tunnels. I was thinking I might get trapped inside (paranoid) if the tunnel caves in…Just like when I’m about to start a new business or a new job.

  • We all do feel that fear of being caved in. We all do feel scared to venture into things that are new to us. What is important is to be brave, be prepared so that we would be able to face our fears and be the best we can be.

I currently am… but no regrets, I’ll pass through the tunnel bravely. :)

  • We all go through different kinds of tunnels in our lives. I am cheering for you and I know you would be able to be brave about it.  :)

Hi Julie. I’m often scared of change and the feeling of uncertainty but I’m glad I can find courage by being with my family. They help me face tunnels in life. I feel secure knowing they will always be there to guide and help me.

  • I’m scared of change too Rach. That I have acknowledged, even when I was still young. Yes, we are just very “lucky” indeed to have our family to help us go through all these. We can even call on God to help us. And in that situation, we can bravely face whatever lies ahead of us.

OMG, this hits a nerve. I have been, and still am, in a tunnel. There are lots of things going on in my private life right now. And this is exactly how I feel. One day, I will write about it. When I’m ready.

It’s a relief to know a lot of people are in the same predicament. Although not exactly the same.
There, this is the most revealing I have ever been. Dito pa sa blog mo ako nag emote. hehehe. U kasi! :D

  • Ow, Mary, I want to hug you dear. I too am faced with my own tunnel right now. I may not be in the tunnel yet but I would soon, if I am courageous enough to go through it. I thank God for my family supporting me, and of course, the good Lord giving me guidance. We have different tunnels of our own, major ones, minor ones. It is very important that we pray, and bravely face the challenges and changes as well as conquer our fears. We may probably, at the end, emerge victorious. If not, we try to learn a lesson or two that would certainly help us to go through another tunnel the next time around. We simply don’t just give up. Will be looking forward to your post, :)

Been writing about this in my other blog, teacher julie. Parang I am currently in a tunnel. Hirap i-explain because it’s too much madrama and all. I don’t want to burden the reader.

But anyway, what I do is I pray. And based on past experiences, it really works. An afternoon inside the church will give you a clearer mind and heart.

Happy Friday po :)
