Every Saturday, members post photos based on a theme. The theme for July 14, 2007 which is my birthday as well as my son’s birthday, is SHADOW. Visit the BLOG ROLL.
All photos taken by my husband when he went to Bohol early this year for a week-long vacation. Most of his paternal and maternal relatives are from this province. Bohol is like an island paradise in the central part of the Philippines. The place is rich in history and equally rich in natural resources: white powdery sand beaches, waterfalls and wonderful people.
This is my husband’s motorcycle and its shadow. The motorcycle is parked near the Baclayon Lighthouse/watchtower. This is one of the places you go to when you want to ride boats to take you to see whale-sharks and/or dolphins.
This road going to Chocolate Hills goes through a man-made forest where a lot of trees grow very tall. These trees are so tall and so near each other that it is difficult to have a shadow in this place even if its high noon.
The famous Chocolate Hills of Bohol whose shadows are cast on each other from other hills nearby. These are called as such because they turn brown during sunny days. There are 1268 hills in this area. Click here to read more about Chocolate Hills.
