(L-R) Front row: Jane and Salen.

(L-R)Back, standing: Rachel, Lynn, Noemi, Connie, Dine, Feng, Chats (tallest), Cess, me and Lisaflor.

Drat, I look too dark, shouldn’t have gone swimming Friday afternoon, 🙂

Mommy lunch was held yesterday, May 26, 2007 at the Swiss Deli and Bistro along Pioneer Street in Mandaluyong. It was supposed to start at 11am but I got there half past twelve because I still had students until 11:30.

Anyway, it was fun seeing these virtual friends in person. Even if we had questions for each other, we were chatting like longtime friends. I sure do hope this is just the beginning of a good friendship with each and every one. After all, we do have one thing in common: we are mothers! Mothers who blog, of course.

Julie, it is easy to overlook everything but the SMILES of everyone in this pic. Ang gaganda ng lahat ng mommies!

Lunch was too short to sit beside all of you and really get to know each one. But that is a GREAT excuse for another mommy lunch, di ba? Till the next one, see you in blogosphere!

  • Yes, indeed the lunch was too short (esp because I’m late, hahaha) because of the many things we can talk about. Hope to see you all again, 🙂

I agree with Jane! 😀
It was great to finally meet you, mommies. We felt there was a connection among us already, only because we knew about each one’s kids, hobbies, jobs, etc because of blogging.

  • Funny to know details about each of us even if it was our first time to see each other in person. Had fun, hope we can have more of these, 🙂

Hi Julie. I had a great time too. It was a pleasure meeting you and the other mommy bloggers. It was my very first EB and glad that it was a favorable experience.

It feels good to meet new and interesting friends like you. I truly appreciate that moment I looked at you and you gave me a big, friendly smile and said “Hi Rach!” A small and yet very memorable gesture that I will always be grateful for. Hoping we can do it again some time soon. Take care!

  • Rach I just hope you didn’t get offended when I told you you were rather tall/big because you look petite in your photos.  Next time, we will sit by each other and talk. I just hope I won’t be too busy so I won’t get late, 🙂

And Teacher Julie looks like a student!
🙂 No wonder your kids (of your own and in class) can relate well with you.

Rowena, I didn’t make it .. i didn’t sign up because my inlaws are in town. Are you new?

  • Thanks Annamanila for saying I look like a student (hope not a grad student taking Ph.D., hahaha). I oohed and aahed when a student told me last week that she likes me. I asked her why and she said “Because you’re cool. And you make me laugh and feel good. ” Ow. Wow. Rowena is also a virtual friend whose husband’s family has kids that I worked with, early on in my career as a special ed teacher. No, we haven’t met too, But I think she likes you. 🙂
