TriNoMa, one of the latest Ayala malls to open, this time in Quezon City. TriNoMa means Triangle North of Manila, which is just proper given that it is situated near North Avenue, near North Luzon Expressway. What was supposed to be the MRT depot or whatever, was turned into a mall. I think the North Avenue MRT station goes straight into the mall.

Of course, since this mall is new, the children wanted to go there. They have seen how this was built. Trixie passes by this area everyday during school days while we (hubby and the two little ones and I) pass by this area at least thrice or four times a week going to or from work. Whenever we do, they are always looking up at the giant cranes and often wondering when this will be built and how it will look inside.

Last Monday we finally went there, amidst stories that it is still dusty and that it is a bit of a disappointment. We managed to look for a good parking space after one wrong turn (parking was like a maze but we will master that in time). Parking of course was easy since there were not many cars there but the parking area still has no lights. Very few shops were open and yes, it is still dusty. But the children don’t mind. Why? Timezone is opened. McDonald’s is open too. That’s just about what we need. Here are some photos that when you look at them, it seems like you are in Glorietta in Makati.

Beams, lots of it.

TimeZone for the young and young at heart.

Activity Center for the active children. Parents should really mind their children here because the play place is rather small.

Cinemas and places to eat.

ang konti ng tao sa pics mo. siguro weekday kayo dumalaw dyan.
we went there on its first saturday. sira pa ang aircon, bukod sa alikabok at sa amoy ng chemicals, kaya medyo traumatic for us, nagkasakit kami the next day. hehehe.
pero will definitely go back. it’s a pretty place diba, and lots of shops na wala sa sm.
pero uy, sm annex is being renovated. henry sy got challenged :)

  • We went there on a Monday, Me crowd din but not as crowded as SM maybe because of the layout of the place. And, the photos were cropped already. :)

Wow! Ganda naman. Thanks for the pics, Julie. And you’re right the play area is so small, sana man lang nilakihan ng konti for the kids.

  • The two rocking horses were a hit but kids have to wait for their turn to sit on them especially if those who are enjoying them can’t seem to stop. But you know, parents should be sensitive too that other children want to ride on them so they should tell their children to let others enjoy. My 2cents.

[...] I have posted some photos about TriNoMa in this entry a few weeks back. When we went there last Saturday, it was still under construction since many shops are still not open. Now, why would we want to go back again? Because DD1 Trixie needs a get a headset for school use (they were required to bring one for hygienic purposes) so we decided to go there after dropping my mother, my aunt and DD2 Tania at a bus station. They will go back to Zambales after the burial of my grandaunt (or grandmother). Mother decided to bring Tania to her house after she got sick so she can “fatten” her for a month or so. We are going to miss our baby girl in the house. Sigh. [...]

[...] The price of these development of more concrete structures mean being able to enjoy the green that nature and natural things has to offer. So what better way to enjoy the greenery but to put these inside concrete structures? This is a photo that I put in a post I have written about TriNoMa, a new Ayala Mall a few minutes from where we live. But is this enough? SO how do we start to teach about appreciating nature and the environment? [...]

[...] Chill out at the mall. This mall, called TriNoMa is one of the hottest malls in Mega Manila. I have written articles about the mall here, here and here. Yes, it is one of our favorite places to go to. [...]

[...] Cat in the Hat Musical. But when I called the TriNoMa concierge early in the morning, she told me that all seats were taken. Sigh. We were supposed to get tickets a day before the show. How could I have known? We were supposed to go there Friday evening for dinner but traffic was heavy because it was a holiday so we did not proceed. [...]
